Bio

David L. Hogans, Esq., author, and an investment adviser representative, is the founding principal of Intelligent Investing, a registered investment adviser firm.  Mr. Hogans earned a Bachelor of Arts, Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa from McDaniel College, a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering (ChE) from Virginia Tech, and his Juris Doctorate (JD) from the University of Dayton.  Mr. Hogans is licensed to practice law in the states of Virginia and New Mexico, as well as, before the Federal Patent Bar, as a licensed Patent Attorney.

Before founding Intelligent Investing, Mr. Hogans was a principal in a patent law firm, a CEO of a holding company (with 9 divisions and over 80 employees), and a public defender for the state of New Mexico, where he won over 20 jury trials for his clients.  Mr. Hogans has sat on Boards, as well as, a 401K Committee, where he helped manage over $40M in investable assets for two thousand plan participants.

In his spare time, Mr. Hogans enjoys reading about financial planing and investment management, as he truly loves what he does.
